If there was a product in our sport that had the biggest legacy, the Jaime would be it, responsible for a revolution in board design and manufacture. It continues to set a standard as the perfect freestyle and freeride board.

DETAILS

There aren't many products in this sport that can lay claim to a revolution and a lineage going back over 15 years. The Jaime is one such product; the original model pioneered the wood core snowboard style construction that was quickly adopted and is the only technique used to build twin tips today.

Over the years, the Jaime has been the flagship freestyle/freeride board for Duotone, aimed at the rider who wants performance that is easy to access combined with a comfortable ride that is second to none.

The medium flex and tuned rocker line combine to offer a smooth ride in choppy waters, while the unique Double Diffusor Bottom helps the board pop and smooth out the landings. The Absorption Flex Tips provide plenty of grip and soften hard landings for those more technical tricks. Thanks to the Carbon Web, the ride on the Jaime is dynamic and engaging, it's a fun board no matter the water conditions, and the more you engage the rail, the more feedback and performance you get back. The rail has been designed to fly upwind and offer maximum grip when you pop; riders will be rewarded with impressive airtime every time they load up for take-off, the right tool for breaking height records and smashing mega loops like Lasse Walker at the King of the Air.

Medium Flex

The Medium Flex boards combine competition performance with every day comfort. Precise adjusted materials offer control, power and comfort in just the right way to feel good in every possible riding condition.

Grab Rails

Grab Rails for easier board off maneuvers and comfortable general riding.

Torsion Flex

The special shape of the 3D cap allows torsion of the long axis of the board. This gives them more grip on the heel-side edge, rich and smooth landings, a direct drive and better upwind performance. Invented by Duotone.

Premium Construction

The Premium Construction boards Jaime, Select and Soleil feature Carbon Beams, where parts of the glass fiber are being replaced by unidirectional carbon beams to noticeably improve the boards’ performance. This results in a faster and even more progressive flex for better pop and reduced weight.

Carbon Web

The use of Carbon Web is an important improvement for 2020 especially for competition boards like the Duotone Team Series and the Duotone Jaime. It offers the rider more torsional stiffness, therefore offering good pop and very precise edge control. Carbon Web is used to build light, yet very robust and durable boards, without losing any of the dynamic response needed for Freestyle and Wakestyle maneuvers. A great compromise for Freestyle boards at a lower price point, without compromising performance!

Double Diffusor Bottom

The Double Diffusor breaks the water's surface and delivers a precise, connected feedback. It also provides good control in all conditions with a sporty character for everyday use. The Double Diffusor allows for harder flex patterns to be used within the board without the loss of comfort. The harder flex delivers better pop making it a winning combination. By breaking the water's surface when landing, the Double Diffusor delivers fluidity and instant planing of the board. This ensures control and comfort when landing, no matter how fast you're going.
