MID TWIST Wing Paddle

The Twist is an all-new paddle series created by Epic to give maximum efficiency for experienced paddlers. The unique shape of the Twist blade provides an aggressive, clean catch, and extremely efficient stroke with a very stable feel in the water. The Twist paddle grabs the water effectively like a blade with greater surface area – thanks to the enhanced efficiency.

​With several years in development and testing, the result is a totally original paddle blade design. The Twist blade enters close to the boat during the catch phase, then flows outward naturally during the power phase of the stroke and exits smoothly. No additional effort is required to create optimal flow of the paddle.

​The Mid Twist is a mid-size paddle suitable for the majority of surfski and fitness paddlers looking for the next step in their progression to increased performance. With a surface area of 700 cm2, it punches well above its weight, generating a powerful stroke that makes it feel like a larger blade. The Small Mid Twist is similar in performance to the Mid Twist, with a 5mm narrower blade and 20 cm2 less surface area (approx. 3% less) than the mid-size paddle, making it the smallest wing blade in the Epic lineup. The Small Mid Twist is a good choice for smaller experienced paddlers wanting a technically superior wing paddle, and it is especially ideal for long-distance racers. 

Previously, all Epic paddle shafts were oval in the grip area (with the exception of some Pro Grip shafts). Both the Mid Twist and Small Mid Twist are now available with oval and round shafts.
