The electric motor system weighs only 14.3 lbs and easily swings up and out of the way in skinny water. The motor features 36 lbs of thrust and 5 forward and 3 reverse speed settings. This motor has a 25 inch shaft with a long tiller for easy reach and a 9-inch high efficiency propeller. The recommended size for this motor is a 50-75 amp hour lithium or lead acid battery. A variant of this kayak with a pedal drive system instead is also available as the Bimini 120 PD.
